Shared housing at Pouring Out means more than a shelter — it means a community. We provide furnished rooms in safe, welcoming homes alongside community supportive services designed to help young people move beyond crisis, begin healing, and build secure, sustainable futures.
On their path to permanent, unsubsidized housing, youth can expect to be treated with compassion and dignity by professional, trauma-informed staff.
Safe, Furnished Housing
Shared living spaces, common areas, and private outdoor spaces in Jefferson, Orleans, and St. Charles Parishes.
Case Management
Individualized support to help participants set and achieve goals and connect with needed resources.
Employment Support
Career counseling, resume building, skills and job training, and job placement.
Education Access
GED prep, non-traditional schooling and college enrollment assistance, and literacy support.
Transportation
Bus passes and transportation assistance to help participants reliably get to work, class, and appointments.
Nutrition & Meals
Communal meals and hands-on learning to help reduce food insecurity and build skills for preparing nutritious meals.
Self-Sufficiency Mentorship
Workshops, mentorship, and community connections that help participants develop essential life skills.
